Gilroy Library Offers Early Self-Service Open Access on Selected Mornings

GILROY — November 2, 2026. Santa Clara County Library District says Gilroy Library offers an Open Access program with additional self-service hours, separate from its regular staffed schedule.

When self-service is available

The Gilroy branch lists Open Access on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., excluding holidays. The program requires separate sign-up and has its own rules.

Regular hours

The branch at 350 West Sixth Street opens to the public Monday through Wednesday from 1 to 9 p.m., Thursday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday 1 to 5 p.m.

Call 408-842-8207 to check account eligibility, accessibility accommodations, holiday exceptions and how to enroll in Open Access. An early entry privilege does not necessarily include normal staffed services.
